How weighted grades work
weighted grade = Σ(grade × weight) ÷ Σ(weights)
Example: homework 92% (20%), quizzes 85% (20%), midterm 78% (25%) → (18.4 + 17 + 19.5) ÷ 65% = 84.46% so far. When all categories are graded the weights add up to 100%.
