Editorial team

The people responsible for what our calculators say. Every reviewed tool links to its reviewer, so you know who checked it.

Profiles are placeholders. No team members have been added yet. We will only publish real people with qualifications we have verified. Each card shows the role and what that person will review.

How a tool gets reviewed

  1. Research: we confirm the formula and constants against primary sources (standards bodies, government tables, peer-reviewed papers).
  2. Build & test: an engineer implements the formula with automated tests using known answers.
  3. Expert review: a qualified reviewer checks the method, wording, assumptions and limits.
  4. Publish: the page shows the reviewer, the review date and the sources.
  5. Maintain: tools with yearly inputs (tax tables, labor rules) are re-reviewed when the inputs change.

Accuracy standards

We test against worked examples, round only for display, state units on every value and label estimates clearly. See the methodology.

Corrections and feedback

Use Report a calculation error. We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours, and significant corrections are noted on the tool’s page with a date.
