How the check digit works
from the right (excluding the check digit): odd positions × 3 + even positions × 1
check digit = (10 − sum mod 10) mod 10
Example: UPC 03600029145 → check digit 2 → 036000291452.
Before you print
To sell in stores and on Amazon, product numbers must be licensed from GS1 US (or your country’s GS1). Made-up numbers can clash with another company’s product. Download the SVG for crisp printing at any size and keep a clear white margin on both sides. Code 128 and QR codes aren’t supported yet.
