Formulas used

Law of cosines: c² = a² + b² − 2ab·cos(C) Heron's formula: Area = √(s(s − a)(s − b)(s − c)), s = (a + b + c) ÷ 2 Angles sum: A + B + C = 180°

Triangle inequality: each side must be shorter than the sum of the other two. Example: sides 5, 6, 7 → s = 9, area = √(9·4·3·2) ≈ 14.697; angles ≈ 44.42°, 57.12°, 78.46°.

Frequently asked questions

What is a scalene triangle?

A triangle with three sides of different lengths (and three different angles).

Can a triangle have two right angles?

No, the angles must add to 180°.
